ALCAR Sensors
Complex challenges require simple solutions. That’s why, ALCAR offers a perfect portfolio of sensors.
The new ALCAR Plug&Drive sensor generation
The new ALCAR Sensor Plug&Drive is already pre-programmed and ready for immediate use. This saves time and work for the mechanic and eleminates the need of programming. With only six variations, the sensor type known by its abbreviation P&D offers 96% car coverage* in the European market and requires neither programming nor configuration. This sensor’s slogan is simple: Plug and drive. However, the ALCAR P&D sensor is also fully programmable, and together with the ALCAR Universal Sensor features amongst the currently fastest freely programmable sensors on the market. *Relates to all car models starting in 2018 |
All new ALCAR sensors feature strongly improved battery life by means of smart battery management and high-speed approvals (Vmax) for clamp-in models of up to 300 km/h. The new ALCAR SENSOR generation guarantees OE quality. Tested and certified by the TÜV SÜD under very high requirements and tough conditions. |
More flexibility for your business
The new “ALCAR Sensor Universal” in return offers maximum flexibility through highest car coverage close to 99 percent*. The Universal sensor is amongst the currently fastest freely programmable sensors on the market. It has the additional advantage that programming can be conducted using many independent TPMS workshop tools. The Universal sensor is available in four different types of valves: clamp-in silver, clamp-in black, clamp-in grey as well as snap-in black. *Relates to all car models starting in 2018 |

ALCAR SENSOR BLE FOR ALL TESLA VEHICLES
The new ALCAR SENSOR BLE works 100 percent identically to the Tesla OE sensor, requiring no programming. Just like with the OE sensor, the system relearns the sensors within the first minutes of driving. Hence, there is no need for a TPMS device for programming or relearning in order to activate the sensors. The ALCAR SENSOR BLE for TESLA is available in the article number S6A108 with a silver valve, article number S6A108B with a black valve and article number S6A108G with a grey valve. |
The ALCAR SENSOR BLE (Bluetooth Low-Energy technology) communicates via Bluetooth with the control electronics of the respective Tesla car and can be used for all Tesla models. |

Updates
Using the PC software TPMSDesktop by BARTEC, you can update your ALCAR TECH600 or TECH300. The software updates include, for example, new car models, relearn procedures, extended OBD coverage and new programming codes for our universal sensors. Furthermore, the TPMSDesktop enables you to create an interface to transfer data into your inventory management system!
For the ALCAR VT56, ATEQ provides the webVT PC software, so you will always stay up to date with the VT56.
Licences
Has the licence period for your TPMS tool expired? No need to worry! In the ALCAR webshops, you will find an option to extend your licence for all ALCAR TPMS tools. Ask your local ALCAR partner for the latest licencing offers.
Upgrades
For our new TPMS tool ALCAR TECH600, we offer a unique upgrade special for all workshops, providing full coverage for the programming of universal sensors from major sensor manufacturers. After entering the upgrade code, you can program universal sensors from Schrader, HUF/BH-Sens and Alligator in addition to the already existing ALCAR sensors (ALCAR Sensor + ALCAR by Schrader).
Tool accessories
Have you misplaced or damaged something by mistake? We offer the required spare part for your TPMS workshop tool. No matter if it’s an OBD wire, Bluetooth OBD or charging device, we have the right replacement for your tool from BARTEC or ATEQ.
ALCAR recommends exchanging all relevant components of TPMS valves each time when changing tyres to continue to ensure safety and the functionality of the system.
At ALCAR, you will find the right valves for all OE sensors from leading manufacturers as well as for the most common and known aftermarket sensors. The ALCAR TPMS configurator will guide you straight to the right valve, or you can simply browse our service kit allocation list.
While snap-in (rubber) valves must be replaced completely, clamp-in (metal) valves should be checked at least for rubber gasket, cap nut, valve core and valve cap and replaced as required. The extensive ALCAR service kit range offers all required parts from leading sensor manufacturers. Visit the ALCAR TPMS configurator to find the right service kit, or you can simply browse our service kit allocation list. |
With the ALCAR workshop tool kit, you have all required tools at hand needed for fitting and adjusting TPMS sensors. A calibrated torque wrench with the necessary attachments, a wrench for valve inserts with torque, or a small T6 torque wrench for older sensor models. The tool kit with the item number SKA001 can be found in our webshops. |
The ALCAR TPMS configurator is the perfect support for your TPMS business. The configurator lists all sensor-related information neatly and in detail. You can obtain any kind of sensor number, view car-related relearn procedures and print them out, find service kits and spare valves. Structured, neat and always up-to-date – the ALCAR TPMS configurator. |

The THREE basic relearn procedures for TPMS sensors
Auto Learn – The vehicle can learn new IDs automatically. This requires only driving the car in order to relearn the sensors. In some cases (e.g. BMW) an initialization via the board computer is required. It is still important to determine the condition of the sensors with a TPMS tool beforehand.
Tip: Leave the vehicle locked for about 20 minutes so that the system can re-calibrate. This can be very important! The vehicle possibly may not search for new sensors if the changing of the wheels took place too fast. The relearn procedure can take between 5 to 20 minutes (depending on the car model) during which we advise you to drive at a minimum speed of 20 km/h.
OBDII – A TPMS tool with an OBD adapter is necessary to program new sensor IDs into the vehicle's electronic control unit. New IDs can be programmed without driving the vehicle.
Trouble-shooting tips: Transfer the new sensor IDs via OBD and switch ignition to OFF and then to ON (engine off) and wait for 5 minutes. In the meantime, scan the sensors again using your TPMS tool. After that, drive your car for a minimum of 10 minutes.
Stationary – Use a TPMS tool with the vehicle in relearn mode. New IDs can be stored in the vehicle's electronic control unit without driving the vehicle. Set the vehicle in relearn mode and scan the sensors with your TPMS tool.
This relearn method is very common among U.S. models, and can also be found in Europe, e.g. at Opel (Chevrolet) or Ford.
Tip: Set the vehicle in relearn mode via the car menu or, if applicable, by simultaneously pressing the key’s lock/unlock button in relearn mode. Prior to this, pull the handbrake.
